CAMaR in Argentina

In October 2017 Tito Scaiano and Anabel Lanterna hosted a workshop for graduate students at the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba; the first such event sponsored by CAMaR attacted 36 students from across Argentina. The course “Applied Photochemistry: Principles and Advanced Applications in Nanotechnology” included invited lectures by Drs. Raquel Galian (Valencia, Spain) and M. Jazmin Silvero (Cordoba, Argentina). Taking advantage of the presence of many students representing many geographical areas from Argentina, Tito and Anabel organized an information lunch attended by 16 students where opportunities for study and internships at CAMaR were discussed, including the popular ELAP program that provides scholarships for doctoral students from the Americas. As a past winner of an ELAP Scholarship, Jazmin described her experience during her ELAP Scholarship in Ottawa. The meeting was an outreach activity to promote CAMaR and give it international visibility.
